Greets, folks. Another Saturday gone. The music festival went well, the bands were incredibly well recieved. There was an awful lot of money raised for the young music fan.

Lamentably...it was hot.

Really hot.

The kind of hot that you realize that, no matter what amount of deodorant you put on that morning...you're going to stink.

I've been hanging out with this band (Downstate, a local act) for ages, and it is fun to sit back at times and see the crowd's reaction to your 5 pals on stage. Today was no exception. Even a few new fans were made, I think.

Now, on to other things.

Life, as we know it, has continued unabated. I continue the search for truth, enlightenment, good scotch and the perfect mathematical equation that will allow me to launch a squirrel to somewhere in Venezuela.

I'd like, at this point, to thank everyone who's been reading and commenting on this. As I've stated previously, I'm very new. A n00b. A long haired wanderer listing after the perfect post.

So, thanks, all...I just wanted to acknowledge the great reception I've recieved and the pals I've made.

Now, I don't mean to sound like I'm kissing Lucy's butt here. But, she's introduced me to this whole scenario, and I'm quite enjoying it.

Now, on to other things:

This Saturday, the band I kind of work with (a local group) is playing at a charity event called Adamfest. It's an all ages show to support a local kid named Adam Weaver, who is about the most music dedicated kid you've ever met.

Lamentably, he has cancer...and all proceeds go to him. It's a great event, and if you happen to be in the Charleston West Virginia area, come check it out.

I'll be there, just ask around for "Troll".

See...Troll's my nickname. And has been for ages. The story behind that is a little odd.

There is a knack, which I do not possess, to using a cotton candy machine. I have rather long hair...and...err...I came out of the booth with a gigantic pink halo about my skull.

A friend of mine walked past and said "Wow...you look just like one of those trolls!!"

Yeah...that was...err...almost 15 years ago now.

So, again, thanks to Lucy for getting me involved.

And..you...yeah you...go out and support your local music scene!!

It's Monday...bleh. I've never gotten the hang of mondays.

Over the weekend, I got into an insult contest with a friend of mine. This happens on a regular basis. It ranged from the funny (You suck more than the roadie for the Village People) to the obscure ( you drip like a Jackson Pollock painting).

Now, I've got a favor to ask of you...yeah, you Lucy, and MissT. Get some insults together, and post 'em in my comments. I need more ammunition for the next time this happens. Heck, spread the word!

Overall I had a wicked good birthday. Got a wee bit intoxicated, went and saw Pirates II, not really in that order.

Now, however, I seem to have picked up a cold and am feeling pretty wretched, so I'm going to sign off for a bit.

Again...please...the insults. You people are funny, I'm sure you've got some good ones!

I just recieved word that a friend of mine, another guy active in the local music scene here was shot and killed last night. A robbery gone wrong, apparently.

The story from the local news is above. Tonight, I was supposed to see him. I was going to go out to see some local music. And, as always "Ish" would be there.
